DAVIS, Calif. - The women's 4x100 relay posted the fifth-fastest time in school history while the Aggie women scored the maximum eight points in six events, helping UC Davis secure an 110-81 win over Sacramento State in the Causeway Classic dual track & field meet at Woody Wilson Track. The Aggie men lost the meet by a final of 102-89.

The short relay crew of junior Jazmen Bunch, freshman Kierra Davis, sophomore Natsumi McGee and sophomore Mikaela Adolphus compiled a winning time of 45.42 seconds, breaking the team's previous season best by eight hundredths and taking sole possession of fifth in the school outdoor list. That foursome also figured in three other sweeps in the meet. McGee barely missed her own PR with a winning 11.77 in the 100-meter dash, then later led a first-through-sixth UC Davis finish in the 200 with her 24.25. Davis and Bunch crossed just behind McGee in 24.27 and 24.33. Adolphus and senior Rianna Goins finished 1-2 in the 400 with times of 55.53 and 55.81, respectively. Adolphus and Goins then joined Rochelle Nadreau and Davis to win the 4x400 relay. Senior Morgan Dutra also placed second in a pair of 1-2 Aggie sweeps in the throws. She runnered up in the discus behind Breanna Standifer, who improved to a No. 3 standing in school history with a personal-best throw of 51.62 meters, or 169 feet, 4 inches. Michaela Mundt easily won the hammer throw at 57.44m (188-5), some four meters in front of Dutra's second-place 53.33m (175-0). The 1-2 finish of Hannah Kirkegaard (10:08.19) and Sarah Anderson (10:11.19) in the women's 3,000 also provided another eight-point push, as did the tandem of Holly Tokar and Stasia Kubicki in the pole vault. Each cleared 3.91 meters, or 12-feet-10. For Tokar, that leap represented a sizable season best. For Kubicki, it moved her into a tie for fourth in Aggie history, matching Kaley Kitto (2001) and former teammate Ariel Maroon (2016). On the men's side, junior Brian Thomas and Jordon Rushing each won a pair of events for UC Davis. Thomas ran a season-best 47.54 to win the quarter by more than a full second, then delivered a PR of 21.74 to claim the 200. Rushing took down both the 1,500 and 3,000 races. His 3:52.94 in the 1,500 led a 1-5 UC Davis sweep in the event, with sophomore Jordy Ceja's 3:55.58 adding the three second-place points. Rushing then went 8:31.05 to claim the 3K. Senior Jelani Legohn notched a PR of 53.74 in the 400 hurdles while sophomore Kyle Clancy bested the high jump bar at 2.05m (6-8.75) more additional Aggie wins in the men's competition. One of the most significant highlight came in an event otherwise won by Sacramento State. Drew Xandrine-Anderson and Basil Okoroike posted huge PRs in the final event of the night, the men's triple jump. Although Hornet Darius Armstead finished first in the meet at 16.19m (53-1.5), Xandrine-Anderson went 15.74m (51-7.75) and Okoroike hit a 15.62m (51-3) leap. They are the first two Aggies since NCAA champion and NFL draftee Anthony Terry set the school mark of 16.06m (52-8.25) back in 1974.
