FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — UC Davis junior
Kylee Davis concluded her outdoor track and field season on Thursday, finishing 29th overall in the women's long jump at the 2026 NCAA West Preliminary Round at the University of Arkansas.
Making her career debut on the NCAA postseason stage, Davis posted a top mark of 6.11m in the first round of competition. While her performance fell short of the top-12 cut required to advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, the regional appearance caps off a stellar junior campaign.
Davis punched her ticket to the postseason after a spectacular gold-medal performance at the Big West Championships, where her lifetime-best leap of 6.26m secured the individual conference title and vaulted her to No. 2 all-time in the UC Davis record book.
"Kylee had a great season, she showed tremendous growth on and off the field, living up to her potential." said head coach Ngoni Makusha. "She has more to look forward to as she goes into her senior year. She has gained a renewed drive after such a successful season and is motivated to work towards her goals. I am excited to see what the future brings for her."
