Career Bests:

2017: NCAA West Regional Qualifier in the 800... Ripped off a 1:49.31 at the Hornet Invitational to win the meet and move to No. 3 all-time for UC Davis... Finished eight in the event at the Big West Championships... Recorded a lifetime best at Aggie Open in the 400 (48.48).

2016: Defended his Aggie Open title with a 1:53.71 performance... Recorded a season-best of 1:52.82 at the conference championships, just missing the final in tenth... Also placed third at Brutus Hamilton Open.

2015: Opened up his season with a win for the second consecutive year, running 1:50.41 at Aggie Open... Continued his hot start by finishing second at UCLA Legends Invitational (1:53.77) and winning the open section at Sun Angel Classic (1:50.68)... Took second at Causeway Classic (1:50.61)... Capped off his season with an eight-place finish at the Big West Championships.

2014: Made his Aggie debut in winning fashion, capturing the 800 (1:50.39) at Cal Opener, promptly putting him 4th on Aggies' all-time top 10... Later won the 800 at the Causeway Dual and was part of winning 4x400 relay... Advanced to 800 final at Big West Championships where he finished 6th (1:51.60)... Also ran leg on second-place 4x400 at conference meet... Participated in prestigious Mt. SAC Relays.

CROSS COUNTRY: Redshirted during 2014 season... Competed in two races in his first season as an Aggie... Posted a season-best 8K time of 26:49 at the Doc Adams Open on Nov. 9 to finish 58th... That time narrowly edged his finish at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational when he finished in a time of 26:50.6.

RANCHO BERNARDO HS '13: He was a two-year varsity cross country athlete... Personal best in the 5k was 16:21... Ran all four years as a varsity athlete in track.. He was also named team captain for both cross country and track his senior year... Focuses on middle distance events during the track and field season... two-time Palomar League champion in the 400m... Also Palomar League champion in the 800m... He was the 800m CIF San Diego Section Champion... Finished third in the 800m at the CIF State Championships with a time of 1:51.61... He was the Palomar League Track athlete of the year, San Diego CIF Track athlete of the year... Currently holds the 8th fastest 800m time in SD history.

PERSONAL: Born in San Diego... Majoring in biological sciences... Parents Sally and George Grigoriev both ran collegiate track... Has an older brother, Nick, who played for the Aggie men's soccer team... Cousin Angie De Leon is a UC Davis graduate... He played club soccer for various years... His career highlight is competing in the CIF State Track Meet... One of these days, he would like to compete in the Olympic Trials.
