2021 FALL: Played in seven games and made five starts at left tackle… Helped open the running lanes for UC Davis to rank second in the league with 178.5 yards rushing per game and fourth overall with 407 total yards per contest… The offensive line allowed the 29th fewest sacks during the FCS regular season.

2021 SPRING: Appeared in all five games as a reserve tackle.

2019: Saw action against Lehigh (9/14) only.

2018: Redshirted.

VILLA PARK HS '18: Named Crestview League Offensive Lineman of the Year following his senior season… Also earned Third Team All-Orange County, Scholar-Athlete and Captain's Award winner that same season... Competed in the 2017 Orange County All-Star Football Game as a member of the North team … Team captain… With Banks shining on his team’s offensive line, the Spartans won consecutive league titles in each of his four years at VPHS… Earned All-Crestview League first team accolades as a junior... Earned all-conference honorable mention as a sophomore... Villa Park won a Crestview League crown during his freshman season... Named Freshman Offensive Line MVP... 

PERSONAL: One of Kathy Akhavi and Steven Banks' three children... Two of his relatives, David Townsend and Ryan Holt, possess connections to UC Davis... Most people do not know that he played baseball throughout his childhood... Maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout high school is his proudest personal accomplishment... Joey Noble is the best athlete he competed against... Favorite facility he competed in is at Cerritos College... Earning a spot in the Orange County All-Star Football Game is his career sports highlight... Avengers Infinity War is his favorite movie... Jackie Robinson is his sports hero... Non-sports hero is his dad... Plans to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry when he graduates from UC Davis... Favorite hobbies include playing video games, hanging out with friends, going to the movies, listening to music and solving Rubik's Cubes... Top three things on his bucket list are: Traveling to Italy, watching a Pittsburgh Steelers game and visiting the Statue of Liberty... You can take away everything he owns except his phone... Chose UC Davis because he loves the coaching staff, and feels that a degree from this institution will place him in a good position for life after football.
