2023: Started against Cal Poly (Sept. 30), making eight total appearances ... Finished with four receptions and 74 yards receiving... Made two receptions, collecting a season-high 65Â yards against Montana (Oct. 7) ... Had teams third-longest reception on the season, hauling in a 64-yard pass against Montana.
2022: Appeared in 10 games and made one start at wideout … Caught 10 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown… Caught his lone touchdown at Northern Colorado (Oct. 22) … Posted a season-high 21 receiving yards against San Diego (Sept. 17) and NAU (Oct. 15).
2021 FALL: Did not appear in any games for the Aggies.
2021 SPRING: Ranked 2nd on team in receptions (13), 3rd in receiving yards (186)... Also carries the ball six times for 39 yards... Had best overall game in home opener vs. Cal Poly (3/20): 2-for-52 receiving with 38-yard TD, plus 4-for-26 rushing... Hauled in season-high 4 passes for 42 yards in finale vs. Eastern Washington (4/3).
2019: Played in all 12 games, starting the final six after Carson Crawford went down with injury... Ranked 3rd on team in receptions (46), 2nd in receiving yards (563)... Tied for 6th in the Big Sky at 5.2 catches per game... Enjoyed best outing at Portland State (11/9), posting 10-for-168 receiving with TDs in the first (26 yds), second (5 yds) and fourth (23 yds) quarters... That yardage total was a team season high and the best single-game performance by an Aggie not named Keelan Doss since Chris Carter logged 190 vs. Montana in 2009.
2018: Qualified for a redshirt by competing in four games or fewer, as permissible by the NCAA and its new policy... Scored the first touchdown of his career at Eastern Washington (12/8) in the first FCS quarterfinal in program history… That TD took place on his first career reception, which was good for nine yards… Also saw action at Stanford (9/15) and in the program’s inaugural FCS playoff game, a home matchup vs. Northern Iowa (12/1).
SCHURR HS '18: Three-star recruit, as ranked by Scout… Earned All-Area Player of the Year, All-Area first team, Almont League Offensive Player of the Year and All-League first team honors as a senior… 2017 Whittier Daily News Player of the Year… With Babb II leading the way, Schurr High School won its first Almont League crown since 2010 and advanced to the CIF quarterfinals in 2017… Finished with 1,393 receiving yards in his final season with the Spartans… Fourteen of his 18 tackles collected as a senior were solo… Finished his junior season with 57 receptions for 1,153 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns… Also earned San Gabriel Valley All-Area accolades… Recorded an attention-grabbing 2,526 receiving yards on a combined 141 catches, averaged 17.3 yards per reception and scored 26 touchdowns throughout his final two seasons… Thirty of his 39 total tackles recorded throughout that same time span were solo… Returned a kickoff for a TD in 2016… Recorded 1,451 all-purpose yards, and averaged 131.0 per game that season.
PERSONAL: His father, Lance Babb Sr., competed in track & field at USC then on the international stage in the early 1970s... Attending a Division I school, and playing football at that institution, is his proudest personal accomplishment... Olijah Griffin is the best athlete he competed against... Favorite movie is Avengers Infinity War... Antonio Brown is his sports hero... Non-sports hero is Elon Musk... Napping is his favorite hobby... Chose UC Davis because of its academics, which will help him become a better person.
