2021 FALL: Played in eight games… Registered 13 tackles with nine solo stops, including 1.5 for loss… Recorded one interception and broke up two passes… Recorded a solo tackle and picked off a pass against Idaho (10/2)… Had three solo tackles and broke up a pass against Eastern Washington (11/13).
2021 SPRING: Appeared in three games before leaving Cal Poly home opener (3/20) due to injury... Had 10 total tackles with 2 pass breakups... Opened season with 5-1-6 tackles, a 3-yard TFL and a PBU against Idaho (3/6)... Followed with 3 solo stops at Weber State (3/13).
2019: HERO SPORTS SOPHOMORE ALL-AMERICA HONORABLE MENTION... ALL-BIG SKY CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM... Also won team’s Casey Merrill Award for outstanding defensive player... Finished 2nd on team with 77 total tackles... Tied Eric Flowers with 62 solo stops, tied for 2nd in school history behind only Jason Hairston’s 63 in 1993... Added 5.5 TFLs (32 yards), 3 interceptions, 5 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, a QB hurry and fumble recovery... Enjoyed one of team’s highlights of the year in road win at USD (9/7): hit Emilio Martinez for a fumble at the goal line, preventing a would-be touchdown with no time remaining and preserving the 38-35 victory... Added 7 tackles and a 12-yard pick in that game, earning a share of Big Sky ROOT SPORTS Defensive Player of the Week honors... Recorded season-high 12 tackles on two occasions: vs. Cal Poly (10/12) and at Sac State (11/23)... Notched first INT vs. Chase Garbers in first quarter at Cal (8/31)... Had 4 stops, 2.0 TFLs, a pick and PBU vs. Weber State (10/26).
2018: HERO SPORTS FIRST TEAM FRESHMAN ALL-AMERICAN… PHIL STEELE SECOND TEAM FRESHMAN ALL-AMERICAN… Started 11 of 13 games… Led the league with three forced fumbles… Intercepted a career-high two passes, a Division-I program single-game high, at Montana (10/27)… Also collected a career-high nine tackles that game… Recorded his first career sack in the team’s season opener at San José State (8/30), for a loss of 11 yards… Also earned his the first sack of his career in that game against the Spartans… Of his 49 tackles collected throughout the season, 35 were solo… Forced a fumble at Montana, at Eastern Washington (11/10) and against Northern Iowa (12/1) — UC Davis’ inaugural FCS playoff game in program history… All 39 of his all-purpose yards took place at Montana.
2017: Redshirted.
DE ANZA HS '17: Three-sport letterwinner, including four each in football and basketball, plus junior and senior seasons in track & field... Shined at running back and cornerback positions for his school's football team... Played for head coaches Richard Gaskel (2013-15) and Tyreke Reed (2016)... Earned All-Tri-County Stone League first-team distinction at defensive back as a junior and senior... Posted 15 interceptions those two years, which lifted his career total to 27... Rushed for touchdown totals of 15, 20, 22 and 27 during freshman through senior seasons, respectively... Named team MVP in both football and basketball as a freshman... Averaged 20 points per game, 6 assists per game in 2013-14, 15 ppg and 7 apg the year after... Competed in sprints and relays for track team, with 100-meter best of 11.83... Honor roll student and member of school's Black Student Union all four years.
