AGGIE STORYLINES…
• UC Davis is making its fifth appearance in the seven years of this tournament in 2021, finishing third as a team in the inaugural event in 2015 and sixth in its last appearance in 2018.
• The Aggies are coming off a tie for third at their own Gunrock Invitational last week, finishing at 8-under for the tournament to match San Jose State and finish one shot better that Pac-12 rival California.
• Four UC Davis players finished among the top 25, led by sophomore
Jackie Lucena, who finished in a tie for eighth with a career-best 6-under 210.
• The 210 was six shots better than her previous 54-hole low of 216 at last year's Westbrook Spring Invitational and tied for the 12th-lowest total in school history.
• It was her second career top-10 finish after ending a rain-shortened Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in a tie for fourth last season.
• Lucena's second-round 66 broke the tournament's single-round record of 67 set by Stanford's Calista Reyes in 2020 and fell one stroke shy of Andrea Wong's single-round school record of 65 set in the final round of the 2016 NCAA Stanford Regional
• The Aggies' 282 in the second round as a team is tied for the sixth-lowest overall in school history, just five shots off the school mark of 277 set at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in 2011.
• In all, 14 of the top 20 lowest individual single rounds, and 11 of the top 21 lowest team scores, were set in this year's Gunrock Invitational.
• Senior
Madison Wood also finished with a career-best 54-hole total of 215 (-1), breaking her previous best of 216 set at the 2018 Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate.
• Senior
Skyler Wood set a single-round collegiate best with a 70 in the final round, while her 1-over 217 (t21st) was a career best for 54 holes.
