NAPA, Calif. – Michelle Ho shot an impressive 69 over the opening 18 holes at the Chevron Silverado Showdown to sit tied for second-place at -3 for the tournament as UC Davis women's golf entered the clubhouse after the opening round tied for seventh overall.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE:
- Ho was on fire all day long, shooting birdies on holes five, nine, 12, 13, 15 and she finished with a birdie on 18 to place herself near the top of the leaderboard
- The Aggie freshman tied for the most birdies in the round with her six and she shot -3 on par five's tying for the best score on par five's in the round
- Ho sits just two strokes behind No. 10 Catherine Park (USC) and she is tied with ranked golfers No. 22 Bailey Shoemaker (USC), No. 41 Elise Lee (USC) and No. 82 Jasmine Leovao (EMU)
- UC Davis holed 15 birdies, the second-most amongst the competition and it placed them inside the top eight after the first round
