Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth At Silicon Valley Showcase; Yu “Yoyo” Bai Posts Top Four Finish

MILLBRAE, Calif. – 
UC Davis women's golf maintained its spot at fourth place through the third and final round at the Silicon Valley Showcase to secure its top four finish, while Yu "Yoyo" Bai shot her way to a tie at fourth, placing her among the top five golfers at a competitive competition.
 
IN THE CLUBHOUSE:
  • UC Davis finished its 54 holes ahead of fellow Big West program UC Irvine and bested future Mountain West counterpart Wyoming along with the PAC-12's Washington State.
  • The Aggies finished the 54 holes with the second-most birdies, recording 44 over their time at the Green Hills Country Club
  • Michelle Ho led the way for the Aggies in total birdies, finishing with 12, the second-most amongst the competitors
  • Bai posted the third-most pars over the three rounds, recording 36 and during her third round she added two birdies to her totals, getting birdies at holes 14 and seven
  • Bai's fourth-place finish put her ahead of golfers from current power four programs California and Kansas State
  • Ho and Lauren Calderon each tied for 21st, ending their 54 holes at +10 while giving the Aggies three inside the top 25
  • Vani Karimanal made the biggest jump up the leaderboards for the Aggies, moving up eight spots to tie for 36th overall at +15 for the tournament
