Eleven Aggies earn Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Squad honors

DAVIS, Calif. — Eleven UC Davis field hockey student-athletes were honored for their academic achievements by earning a spot on the 2020 Zag Field Hockey/ NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
 
Comprising the Aggies' group of award recipients were Brenna Brophy, Emily Chen, Siena Dwyer, Milou Korthouwer, Audrey Matthew, Catherine Potente, Skylar Richards, Lizzy Tedrow, Madison Theodore, Shannon Wong and Danielle Yau.
 
For seniors Chen and Theodore, Thursday's announcement marked the fourth National Academic Squad award of their careers.
 
This accolade is given to field hockey student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher during the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
 
The NFHCA will announce an additional three Division I academic awards later this season: The Division I Scholars of Distinction will be announced on March 25, the Division I National Academic Team Awards will be released on March 29, and the Division I National Scholar-Athlete selection will be unveiled on June 15.
