DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis field hockey earned seven MPSF end-of-season honors, the conference announced Thursday.
Karly Redman,
Hayden Ma,
Beth Munro-Morris,
Ella Franken, and
Morgan Caldera were named to the All-Conference Team. Redman was also selected as the MPSF Offensive Player of the Year, while freshman goalkeeper
Addy Collingwood earned Freshman of the Year honors.
Karly Redman shined in multiple major offensive categories, starting all 15 games and finishing with eight goals and 16 points. She registered her first two goals of the season in a 5-4 win against Ball State on Sept. 5 and closed out the season by scoring the only goal against Cal on Oct. 24. This is Redman's first All-MPSF selection.
Addy Collingwood led the UC Davis defense in goal, starting all 15 games and recording career highs in saves twice throughout the season. Her first career high came early in the year against Miami (OH) on Aug. 29, and she matched it in the season finale against Stanford on Oct. 26. This is Collingwood's first All-MPSF selection.
Hayden Ma was the heart of the Aggie defense throughout the season, starting all 15 games and contributing in every match. The senior defender led the Aggies in minutes played with 867. She was a central piece of the back line and helped UC Davis stay within reach in many matches. This is Ma's first All-MPSF selection.
Beth Munro-Morris excelled through the midfield, starting all 15 games and recording two goals, five assists, and nine points. Her first goal came at Hofstra on Sept. 21 and her second against Queens on Oct. 19. A staple in the UC Davis lineup all season, Munro-Morris also served as a team co-captain. This is her first All-MPSF selection.
Ella Franken dominated in the midfield, starting all 15 games and excelling in every major offensive category. Franken recorded eight goals, four assists, and 16 points throughout the season. She netted her first two goals at Bellarmine on Aug. 29 and recorded two more braces against Ball State (9/5) and LIU (9/22). Franken also led the team as a captain throughout the season. This is her first All-MPSF selection.
Morgan Caldera broke through in the midfield, starting all 15 games and scoring four goals for the Aggies. Her first goal came in a win against Sacred Heart on Sept. 19. She continued her momentum throughout the season, adding goals against LIU (9/22), St. Louis (10/5), and Queens (10/19). This is Caldera's first All-MPSF selection.
UC Davis finished the regular season 6-9 overall. The Aggies are set to host the inaugural MPSF Championship game on Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. PT.
