2021: NFHCA ALL REGION WEST SECOND TEAM… ALL CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM… ZAG FIELD HOCKEY/NFHCA DIVISION I NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD… Appeared and started in all 16 games for the Aggies, one of only three Aggies to do so… Led UC Davis in nearly every offensive statistical category… Her 3.19 Avg/S per game ranked seventh in all of the American East Conference… Two biggest goals of the year and team leading game winners came in the same week during matches against Saint Louis (9/7) and Bellarmine (9/10).
2020-21: Will not lose a year of athletic eligibility due to the NCAA’s COVID-19 policy… NATIONAL FIELD HOCKEY COACHES ASSOCIATION SECOND TEAM ALL-WEST REGION… SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICA EAST… ZAG FIELD HOCKEY/NFHCA DIVISION I NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD… Started all 11 games played… Ranked No. 20 in the nation with her 0.50 assist per game average… Ranked No. 5 among all America East players with 33 shots and a 3.00 shots per game average… Ended the season tied for second with seven points, on a goal and team-high five assists… Among all league players, she ranked tied for No. 4 in assists… Her 33 shots and 13 shots on goal are both team highs… Posted a team-high two assists and three shots on goal in the Aggies’ spring 2021 finale at Maine (4/18)… Also recorded a team-high five shots, for the second time of the season, in that same game… First five-shot game of the season took place at Cal (4/3)… Scored a goal against Vermont (4/15)… Led by her season-high two assists, earned at Maine, she also picked up one vs. Monmouth (4/17), at home against Stanford (4/9) and at UAlbany (3/25)… Finished with three shots on goal out of her five attempts, both season highs, at Maine.
2019: AMERICA EAST COMMISSIONER'S HONOR ROLL... 2019 NFHCA NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD... 2019 NFHCA SCHOLAR OF DISTINCTION... AMERICA EAST WEST DIVISION ALL-CONFERENCE... Started all 17 games... Scored first career goal at Central Michigan on Sept. 10... Helped the Aggies to a 1-0 win over American in their next game on Sept. 19 with an assist... Was the catalyst behind the Aggies' 2-1 win over Cal on Oct. 30, scoring in the first period and later putting in the winning penalty stroke... Took career-high five shots that day... Finished tied for second on the team in shots while setting career-highs in starts (17), goals (2), and shots (22).
2018: AMERICA EAST COMMISSIONER’S HONOR ROLL SELECTION… NFHCA ACADEMIC SQUAD SELECTION… Competed in all 19 games on the schedule, making a career-high 13 starts… Tallied her first career assist in the Aggies’ 3-0 shutout win over Central Michigan on Sept. 21… Recorded a season-high two shots twice: La Salle (9/8) and Stanford (10/24).
2017: ALL-AMERICA EAST COMMISSIONER’S HONOR ROLL... NFHCA NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD SELECTION… Appeared in all 18 games, making five starts… Earned her first career start as an Aggie on Oct. 15 vs. Pacific.
LA COSTA CANYON HS ’17: Four-year varsity letter winner as a forward for the La Costa Canyon HS field hockey team… Helped the Mavericks to an Avocado West League title as a junior in 2016, finishing the year with a 9-1 conference record… Also made an appearance at the CIF San Diego Section finals in 2014… Three-time Most Valuable Offensive Player recipient (2014-16)… Three-time Union Tribune Scholar-Athlete honoree (2014-16)… All-Avocado West second team selection (2015)… All-Avocado West first team selection (2016)… Named Avocado West League Player of the Year as a senior (2016)… All-CIF San Diego first team honoree (2016)… Capped off her senior season with 21 goals and 10 assists… Recipient of the La Costa Canyon HS Maverick Award, given to senior student-athletes for their excellence and leadership on and off the field (2016)… Four-year competitor for the RUSH Field Hockey club team (2014-17)… Two-time competitor at the AAU Junior Olympics (2014-15)… Made four consecutive USA Field Hockey National Futures Tournament appearances from 2014 to 2017… Also spent three seasons on the La Costa Canyon HS track and field team… Reached CIF prelims for the 300 hurdles and 4x100 relay as a sophomore… Wrapped up her academic career as a Maverick with a 4.2 GPA.
PERSONAL: Born in Mission Viejo, Calif… Parents are Mandie Wachal and Brian Theodore… Has a younger sister, Hannah, and a younger brother, James… Her father Brian was a quarterback for the UCLA football team, and her mother, Mandie, was a member of the UCLA cheer team.
