THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis carded a 2-over 290 in the second round of the 2026 Big West Men's Golf Championship, improving on its opening-round score by one stroke to move to 5-over 581 through 36 holes and into fifth place of the 10-team field. Zhenxian Zhang continued to pace the Aggies with a 1-under 71, his second consecutive sub-par round, and sits fifth on the individual leaderboard at 4-under 140 heading into the final round.

FIRST TEE

• Zhang once again posted the low Aggie round of the day, firing a 1-under 71 for his second consecutive sub-par round. He stands fifth on the individual leaderboard at 4-under 140 through 36 holes.
• Curtis Da Silva turned in his second consecutive even-par 72, holding steady at even-par 144 for the championship and tied for 12th individually.
• Lequan Wang improved on his Round 1 score by two strokes, carding a 1-over 73 to move to 4-over 148 (T27) for the tournament.
• Shaun Nair also bettered his opening-round mark, posting a 2-over 74 to sit at 5-over 149 (29) through two rounds.
• Treed Huang made his championship debut as a sub in Round 2, posting a 78 (+6) in his first action of the tournament.
