2025-26: 2026 NIPOMO AMATEUR CHAMPION — opened the new year at Monarch Dunes Golf Course on Jan. 5 with a three-round 7-under 206 on 68-67-71 to win the 16th annual Nipomo Amateur by two strokes over Adam Anderson, with critical birdies on holes 5, 8 and 9 in the final round… Carded -4 at the AF Silver Individual to finish 11th at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on the USAFA Eisenhower Silver Course (40-player flight)… Posted a top-10 finish at The Prestige Individual at GC Terra Lago, taking T-10 at +9 (225, 51 players) — the only Aggie individual contesting the full three rounds at The Prestige after the team event was halted by high winds… Led the Aggies at the R.E. Lamkin Invitational at San Diego Country Club, finishing T-24 at +1 (217)… Took T-47 at the season-opening Ram Masters Invitational (+11, 221) at Fort Collins CC on 75-71-75… Took T-67 at the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational (+8, 224) on 71-80-73… Carded 71-75-71 at The Goodwin to finish T-78 (+7, 217) at Stanford… Took T-67 at the home El Macero Classic (+14, 230) on 76-78-76… Closed at T-34 at the 2026 Big West Men's Golf Championship (+10, 226, 60 players)… Played in 10 stroke-play events as a sophomore, posting a 74.3 scoring average across 30 rounds.

2024-25: Best finish was 17th place at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational… Took 23rd at the Windon Memorial Classic, 50th at the Alister Mackenzie Invitational (-4) and 56th at the Big West Championship… Participated in nine qualifying events with placements ranging from 17th to 158th among competitive fields.

SEVEN LAKES HS '24
Four-year golf captain at Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas, competing in Region III 6A under the Spartans banner… The program achieved four consecutive undefeated seasons in Katy ISD league play (2021-24)… Scoring average improved annually: 74 (2021), 73.5 (2022), 72 (2023) and 70.5 (2024)… Helped secure four straight district and regional championships.

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 2, 2006 in Hyderabad, India and raised in Katy, Texas… Parents are Abhilash Nair (Rice graduate, chemical engineer) and Priyanka Nair (pharmacy technician, former tennis player)… Has a younger brother, Sanat (15)… Stands 5'10" and 170 lbs… Studying chemical engineering, following his father's path… Golf hero is Tiger Woods and admires David Goggins for non-sports inspiration… Selected UC Davis because he loves "the environment and the people."
