THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis wrapped up the 2026 El Macero Classic on Sunday at El Macero Country Club, finishing in eighth place at 29-over 893 in a 19-team field. The Aggies carded a final-round 302 on Sunday after completing the weather-suspended second round earlier in the morning. Lequan Wang paced UC Davis once again as the top Aggie, closing out the tournament in a tie for third place individually at 4-under 212, after entering the final round as the outright leader.

• Lequan Wang capped off a standout week as the leading Aggie, finishing in a tie for third place individually at 4-under 212. Wang entered the final round as the outright leader and remained in the hunt for the individual title deep into Sunday's round before settling for a tie for third. Wang's week was headlined by a stellar 5-under 67 in the weather-impacted second round, which stood as the low round of the entire tournament.
• Ryan Firpo provided steady consistency for UC Davis throughout the tournament, closing his week with a 74 (+2) on Sunday to finish in a tie for 30th place at 7-over 223.
• Shaun Nair posted a final-round 76 (+4) to finish the tournament in a tie for 67th at 14-over 230.
• Curtis Da Silva, who opened the tournament at T4 with a 71 in Round 1, closed the week with a 79 (+7) to finish in a tie for 76th at 15-over 231.
• Zhenxian Zhang rounded out the starting lineup for the Aggies, posting an 84 (+12) in the final round to finish tied for 94th at 22-over 238.
