THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis completed its final round at The Goodwin on Saturday, finishing 22nd overall in a highly competitive 30-team field. The Aggies fired a 6-over 286 on the final day, defeating two NCAA Regional teams from last season in Santa Clara and Grand Canyon. The strong finish came on a special day for the program, marking the 10th anniversary of UC Davis' historic team title at The Goodwin.
FIRST TEE
- Curtis Da Silva capped off a brilliant week as the leading Aggie, carding a final-round 71 to finish tied for 44th overall at 212 (+2). Impressively, Da Silva defeated five players ranked in the top 100 in the country during the tournament.
- Shaun Nair provided incredible consistency for UC Davis, matching Da Silva with a final-round 71 to finish the week in a tie for 78th at 217 (+7).
- Zhenxian Zhang delivered the best round of the day for the Aggies. The freshman bounced back in a big way, firing a spectacular 2-under 68 to surge up the leaderboard and finish tied for 114th with a 221 (+11).
- Lequan Wang closed out his tournament with a 79 on Saturday, finalizing his three-day total at 222 (+12) to tie for 121st.
- Ivan Sablan rounded out the lineup for the Aggies, posting a 76 in his final 18 holes to finish 149th overall at 231 (+21).
