THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis rounded out the third and final round at the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational at Silverado Resort on Tuesday with a ninth-place finish. Lequan Wang powered the Aggies on the final day, firing a team-best 6-under 66 to conclude the tournament as the top Aggie finisher, taking home third place individually at 15-under par.

FIRST TEE

• Lequan Wang wrapped up his tournament as the leading Aggie, carding a stellar final-round 66 (-6) to finish in solo third place at 15-under par (201). Wang was an absolute force on Tuesday, rolling in seven birdies during his final 18 holes, including back-to-back birdies on three separate occasions. Wang was notably precise on Par 4s and Par 5s all week, tying for the second-best Par 4 and Par 5 scoring average amongs all tournament participants. Wang's 19 birdies were also the second most in the tournament.
• Zhenxian Zhang, competing as an individual, provided another bright spot for UC Davis, posting a 74 (+2) on Tuesday to conclude his tournament at 2-under par (214), earning a top-30 finish by placing 27th overall.
• Ivan Sablan closed out his week with a 75 (+3) in the final round, bringing his 54-hole total to 221 (+5) to secure a tie for 52nd. Sablan's week was highlighted by a strong start on Monday, where he posted an opening-round 70 (-2).
• Curtis Da Silva posted a final-round 75 (+3) to finish the tournament in a tie for 58th place at 6-over par (222). Da Silva's best golf came during Monday's afternoon session, where he grinded out an even-par 72 in the second round.
• Shaun Nair bounced back from a tough second round to post a steady 73 (+1) on Tuesday, finishing in a tie for 67th place at 8-over par (224). Nair's best performance also came on day one, carding a 71 (-1) in the tournament's opening round. 
• Ryan Firpo provided a massive highlight for the Aggies in the final round, firing a 3-under 69 to jump into a tie for 70th overall at 9-over par (225). Firpo recorded four birdies Tuesday to finish the tournament strong.
• Treed Huang, competing as an individual, carded his third consecutive 76 (+4) on Tuesday to round out the UC Davis contingent, placing 72nd overall (228).
