THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis rounded out the third and final round at the R.E. Lamkin Invitational at the San Diego Country Club on Tuesday with an eighth place finish. Zhenxian Zhang powered the Aggies on the final day, with a team-best 1-under 71, while Shaun Nair concluded the tournament as the top Aggie finisher, slotting in a tie for 24th place.

FIRST TEE

• Shaun Nair wrapped up his tournament as the leading Aggie, carding a final-round 74 (+2) to finish in a tie for 24th place at 1-over par (217).
• Zhenxian Zhang provided the highlight of the day for UC Davis, firing a team-best 71 (-1) in the final round to jump into a tie for 52nd place at 6-over par (222).
• Lequan Wang closed out his tournament with a 75 (+3) on Tuesday, bringing his 54-hole total to 218 (+2) to secure a top-30 finish, tying for 30th overall.
• Ryan Firpo capped off a highly consistent week with an impressive even-par 72 in the final round. He finished just one stroke behind Wang in a tie for 35th at 3-over par (219).
• Curtis Da Silva posted a final-round 75 (+3) to finish in a tie for 38th place at 4-over par (220).
• Treed Huang, competing as an individual, carded a 77 (+5) on Tuesday to round out the UC Davis contingent, placing 77th overall (228).
