THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis opened play at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational with a team score of 298 (+10) to sit tied for 18th after Round 1 on Saturday. Lequan Wang and Curtis Da Silva paced the Aggies with matching 73s (+1), tying for 36th individually in the field.

FIRST TEE

• Wang and Da Silva each carded steady rounds of 73 (+1) to share team-low honors and sit inside the top 40
• Ryan Firpo posted a 75 (+3) to tie for 63rd
• Treed Huang and Ivan Sablan rounded out the Aggie lineup with matching 77s (+5), tying for 91st
