CERES, Calif. – Donavan Cheruiyot and Muhammed Ahmed used personal best times to post top five finishes at the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational pacing UC Davis men's cross country to victory, while Fiona McGrath's fourth place finish led the Aggie women under the lights.
 
ON THE COURSE (MEN'S 8K)

• Four of the top 10 finishers were Aggie men leading directly to their meet winning score of 54, besting California's 61 with the Golden Bears only claiming a pair of top 10 finishers
• Cheruiyot led the men with a third-place finish, running his race in 23:31.2
• Ahmed finished right behind his Aggie teammate coming in fourth with a time of 23:33.5
• Ethan Brooks paced himself to a seventh-place finish at 23:38.4
• Chris Coles rounded out the Aggie top finishers crossing the line at 23:47.3, just behind Brooks to give UC Davis another back-to-back finishing group

ON THE COURSE (WOMEN'S 6K)

• McGrath ran a strong race from start to finish, besting three Sacramento State runners to cross fourth with a time of 21:03.4
• Stormy Wallace sat just outside the top 10, coming in 12th place with a time of 21:26.8, giving UC Davis two Aggies inside the top 15
• Shae Hill raced to a 20th place finish with a time of 21:37.7
• Kayla Rutz ran her race in 21:48.4 to finish 30th for another Aggie top 30 finisher
