2025 Big West Champion in the 8K

2025: Competed at five meets for the Aggies this season ... Was Declared Big West Cross Country Champion in the 8k going a 24:14.2 ... Didn't have just one but TWO personal bests one at the Bill Dellinger XC Invite in the 8k going a 23:30.7 and then at the NCAA D1 West Ragion Cross Country Championships in the 10k going a blazing 30:00.3 and placing 25th aswell ... Earned three top ten finishes across his season.

2024: BIG WEST ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE...Had a stellar debut Aggie season, logging three top ten finishes...Took first place at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational with a personal best in the 8k race (23:47.8)...Settled at an impressive 8th place at the Big West Conference Championships with a 24:02.0...Set a personal best in the 10k race with a 30:02.0 at the NCAA West Regionals.

Chabot College: Coast conference champion in 2022…Two-time Junior College All-American…Chabot school record holder in the 10k, former record holder in the 5k…Placed 2nd in state in the 10k…3rd place in the 5k.

Newark Memorial HS: NMHS cross country team MVP in 2021…Played varsity soccer in his sophomore and junior year. 

Personal: Born in Mountain View and raised in Newark, California…Son of Ikhlas and Ayse Ahmed…Has four siblings, states that his brothers are his best friends…Pursuing biology at Davis, excited to experience the “excellent academic reputation, and [its] rich distance tradition.”
