Event: Big West Championships
Location: San Luis Obispo, Calif. (Miller & Capriotti Athletics Complex)

The Short Story: UC Davis saw two Aggies take home gold and more reach the podium in a solid showing at the Big West Conference Championships. Both the men's and the women's team finished seventh at the event.
 
WOMEN'S EVENTS (TRACK)
 

• Brianna Weidler continued her dominance by winning the 5000m, earning the conference title.
• It was a 1-2-3 finish for the Aggies in the 5000m as Dani Barrett finished second and Maddie Kackley finished third.
• Barrett took gold in the 10k, clocking in at 34:52.84, also becoming a Big West champion.
• Kackley earned a second-place finish in the 1500m.
• Cal Poly posted 130.75 points to win the event.

WOMEN'S EVENTS (FIELD)
 

• Lauren Spellman highlighted her day with a third-place finish in the long jump.

 
MEN'S EVENTS (TRACK)

• Ethan Brooks earned a top-10 finish in the 10000-meter, racing to fifth-place in the event (30:30.87).
• Cal Poly was the team champion with 185 points.

MEN'S EVENTS (FIELD)

• Ryan Ishibashi grabbed a second-place finish in the pole vault, posting 5.02m.
• David Hunter leaped to third place in the long jump (7.47m).

 
NEXT UP FOR THE AGGIES: UC Davis will see multiple Aggies compete in the NCAA West Preliminary Round from May 22-25 in Fayetteville, Ark.
