Aggies Impress at Mike Fanelli Classic and Stanford Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. – UC Davis had some excellent showings at its two competitions this weekend, delivering some standout performances at the Mike Fanelli Classic in San Francisco and the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN'S EVENTS)
Starting at the Mike Fanelli Classic hosted by San Francisco State, the Aggies saw personal best times from Sydney Makar, Jocelyn Pacheco, and Haley Large in the women's 1500m. Hope Bergmark impressed in the 5000m run by slotting into fourth place while Stormy Wallace, Kayla Rutz, Brooke Butler, and Natalie Wieland achieve their personal records in the event.
 
At the Stanford Invitational, Madison Kackley made her way onto the podium with her third-place finish in the 1500m. Brianna Weidler went on to finish 7th in the event while recording a personal best time.In the lone women's field event, Ashpreet Kler finished 6th in the hammer throw while posting a personal record.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN'S EVENTS)
Donavan Cheriuyot and Christian Taylor led things off with personal best times in the 1500m at the Mike Fanelli Classic. In the 5000m, Michael Cooper, Chris Coles, Zachary Graeber, Troy Esparza, and Chance Tokubo clocked in with personal bests.
 
When UC Davis traveled to The Farm, Corey Moore ranked 6th in the discus, Caveli Hensley finished 8th in the high jump, and Ryan Ishibashi and Aiden Hagery finished tied for second place in the pole vault.
