DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis indoor track heads to Seattle, Wash. this weekend for the 27th MPSF Indoor Track Championships, hosted by the University of Washington for the 17th consecutive year.
UC Davis is one of 22 women's squads participating, along with all 12 of the Pac-12 programs, and six other Big West schools, including Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Hawaii, Long Beach State, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside.
In just the second year that the Aggies have competed at the MPSF Championships, UC Davis will travel 16 women to cover nearly every event. Making her indoor debut will be junior Julia Lemak in the 3000m Run, as well as a member of the Aggies' first-ever Indoor Distance Medley Relay alongside Flora Oliveira, Anaya Ward, and Shelby Hightower.
There are several Aggies who place in the top-30 of the entry list in the 60m dash, 200m dash, 400m dash, 5000m run, 60m hurdles, pole vault, triple jump, high jump, and shot put. Most notably, senior Erinn Beattie ranks second in the high jump (1.83m), freshman Kirsten Carter is eighth in the 200m dash (24.35), junior Sarah Anderson is 11th in the 5000m run (17:12.19), and senior Sydney Holmes is seeded 13th in the triple jump (11.53m).
Competition begins for the Aggies with the 60m hurdles as part of the pentathlon at 12:15pm on Friday, and wraps up with the 3000m run at 1:20pm on Saturday. There will be live results available, and a live stream through FLOTrack ($).
