SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Junior Courtney Schultz in the 200 free and sophomore Solie Laughlin in the 200 back each posted wins on the day, but it wasn't enough for visiting UC Davis, as host UC Santa Barbara won 11 of the 14 events en route to a 160.5-96.5 win over the Aggies in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation contest on Saturday afternoon at Campus Pool.

Schultz gave UC Davis its first win of the day, tying for the top spot in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.64 for her first win of the season in the event, touching in the same time as the Gauchos' Catherine Boles. Schultz closed out a solid day, finishing second in both of the sprint free events with a time of 24.28 in the 50 free, and 52.48 in the 100 free, later in the day.

Six events later, Laughlin earned a second Aggie win, taking home the top spot in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.28 -- her second fastest time of the season in the event and just .09 shy of claiming her seventh NCAA "B" mark of the year. Earlier in the day, Laughlin also finished second in the 100 back with a time of 55.99 and posted the second fastest time in the 200 IM after UC Santa Barbara began exhibitioning its swimmers.

After finishing third in the 1000 free, senior Marissa Brown posted her best performance of the day by touching second in the 500 free with a time of 5:01.15 -- her second quickest time of the season in the event.

Other performances included a career-best 10:42.95 in the 1000 free by Angelica Nowack and career-bests in the 200 back by Iris Brand (2:04.84) and Jordan Owyoung (2:09.22).

The Aggies are off until Jan. 29, when they head south to take on Fresno State in their penultimate dual at Noon. The UC Davis divers take to the boards for the first time in 2017, heading to Colorado Springs, Colo., to compete in the Air Force Diving Invitational on Jan. 27-28.
