2018-19: MOUNTAIN PACIFIC SPORTS FEDERATION ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM… Set a career-best time of 1:04.92 in the 100 IM at the annual Aggie Open en route to a 12th-place finish on Jan. 5… Also swam a collegiate-best at the Husky Invite, turning in a 200 free time of 1:56.38 (Nov. 30)… Other season-best times include: 50 free (24.68), 100 free (55.05), 2:08.95 (200 back), 2:15.21 (200 IM).
2017-18: Redshirted.Â
2016-17: Set three collegiate-best times at the Juanita Allington Memorial in the 50 free (24.51), 100 fly (1:02.05), and 200 back (2:06.51)... Also set four season-bests at the Phill Hansel Invitational in the 100 free (53.23), 200 fly (2:20.16), 100 back (57.84), and 200 IM (2:09.29)... Posted a season-best in the 200 free (2:01.71) at UCLA, and in the 1000 free (12:20.31) at Fresno State.
GRANITE BAY HS '16: As a senior, swam the anchor leg of Granite Bay’s winning 200 Medley relay at the 2016 CIF San Joaquin Section Championships, posting an NISCA automatic all-american qualifying time of 1:44.10… Helped the Grizzlies to a third consecutive CIF San Joaquin Section varsity team championship, also scoring in both 100 Back and 200 IM during both senior and junior years… All-Sierra Foothill League selection… Four-year varsity letter recipient in swimming… Also played varsity water polo for two years for the Grizzlies… Posted personal bests in 2016 in 100 back (58.12), 200 Back (2:06.77) and 200 I.M. (2:10.28). Â
PERSONAL: Parents are Michael and Elizabeth… Has a younger sister, Lauren… Her father was a swimmer at Cal Poly… Macayla competed with the Davis Arden Racing Team (DART) for the last two seasons, and competed in the Senior Zone Championships, Sectional Championships, and qualified for the USA Swimming Futures Championships. Most people don't know that Macayla can drive a ski boat… Because she loves the water, she would hope to play water polo at UC Davis if she wasn't swimming.
