Swim And Dive To Host Nevada In Regular-Season Opener

DAVIS, Calif. — The UC Davis swim and dive program will host Nevada in a dual meet Friday at Schall Aquatics Center in the Aggies' home opener and first dual meet of the 2026-27 campaign. The meet begins at 1 p.m. PT. All 24 swimmers and six divers on the UC Davis roster are available and entered in the meet with the divers making their 2006-27 debut.

The order of the 16 events for the standard format meet will begin with the 200 medley relay followed by the 1000 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 fly, 50 free, 3 meter diving, 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 500 free, 100 fly, 1 meter diving, 200 IM and 400 free relay.

Real-time scoring will not be available for the meet. Final results will be posted to ucdavisaggies.com after the conclusion of the event.

SEASON-OPENER LAST SATURDAY
UC Davis began its 2026-27 regular season on Oct. 3 with the swimmers only competing on the second day of the two-day PAC Invite hosted by Pacific. The most notable Aggie performances included freshman Madison McCormick's fourth-place 100 IM finish in a time of 59.51 that ranked her 10th on the Aggies' all-time list of top performers in the event. Freshman Illiana Foth had the highest individual finish by an Aggie swimmer with a third-place showing in the 200 breast (2:23.50), while senior Ella Palmer was fifth in the 200 back (2:06.60). Gabrielle Kleman also made her collegiate debut just two spots behind McCormick in sixth in the 100 IM (59.79), while freshman Ciara Looney (12th, 52.72) and junior Leinaala Wong (17th, 53.18) were in the top half of 41 swimmers who competed in the 100 free. Host Pacific finished on top of the women's team standings followed by UC Santa Barbara (777), Cal State Bakersfield (722), Saint Mary's (360), UC Davis (342) and Stanford (121).

LAST DUAL MEET VS. NEVADA
Nevada was a 185.5-114.5 winner the last time the Aggies and Wolf Pack teams squared off at Lombardi Pool in Reno in a dual meet on Oct. 25, 2025. Victories from returning swimmers Ella Ackerman in the 1000 free (10:38.22) and Brynn Graham in the 200 back (2:05.37) highlighted UC Davis' performances at the meet.
