2020: Team
opted out of competition for the 2020-21 school year due to COVID-19, student-athletes will not lose a year of eligibility and maintain their athletic standing for the 2021-22 academic year.
2019: Appeared in four matches in relief, making four saves in 24 minutes… Made his debut in the season opener against Chapman (9/7), posting a save… Added a season-high two saves against Fresno Pacific (10/18) and another against Ottawa University (9/22)… Posted his first career assist against the Spirit, adding a steal.
SANTA CRUZ HS ’18
Lettered in four sports in high school: water polo, track & field, basketball, and volleyball… Named Monterey Bay League Gabilan Division Co-MVP and first-team all-league as a senior, as well as team captain… Finished with 295 saves, a .633 save percentage, and a 6.84 goals against average as a senior… Helped lead the Cardinals to their second league title in three years in his final prep season, as well as a CIF section runner-up finish… Selected as the MBL Gabilan Division Junior of the Year, first-team all-league selection, and team MVP, after finishing with 233 saves, a .563 save percentage, and 36 steals in 2016… Was the league’s freshman of the year in 2014… Earned the team’s Coaches’ Award as a sophomore, helping the Cardinals to a league title and a fourth-place section finish.
PERSONAL
Parents are Eric and Trish… Parents both attended Cal Poly, but his cousin (Alexa), his aunt (Judith), his father, and his uncle (Matt), all earned degrees from UC Davis… Cousin Alexa was a member of the Aggies’ track and field squad… His great grandfather, Peter Donlon, won Olympic gold in men’s eights in 1928… Played seven years of club for Santa Cruz WPC and the West Valley Vikings… Named team MVP for the Santa Cruz WPC in 2013, and earned the Coaches’ Award and Sportsmanship Award in 2012.
