Recorded a season-high five shots and two shots on goal vs. the Billikens... Tied a season high by earning two shots on goal at Holy Cross (9/10)... Of her 13 shots taken throughout the year, five were on goal.
2014: GLADIATOR BY SGI/NFHCA DIVISION I NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD... Competed in 19 matches... Started the Aggies' season-opener against Fairfield (8/31)... Collected an assist vs. Central Michigan (9/21) and Stanford (10/5)... Both of her season-high two shots at Central Michigan were on goal, another season high... Took a collective four shots... Of those four, three were on goal.
2013: GLADIATOR BY SGI/NFHCA DIVISION I NATIONAL ACADEMIC SQUAD... Named a starter in five of 16 games played... Earned her first start as an Aggie in the team's season-opener against Missouri State (8/30).
ARCHBISHOP MITTY HS '13: Competed as a forward for Archbishop Mitty's field hockey team... The 2012-13 season saw Hessler earn honorable mention from the San Jose Mercury News and all-Blossom Valley Athletic League second team honors... Archbishop Mitty also captured a Central Coast Section title... Received honor roll recognition all four years.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Deanna and Christopher Hessler... Is the middle of five children in her family... Older siblings Kimberly, and Thomas, attend USC and Santa Clara respectively... Jacob and Nicholas are her younger brothers... Her father played football at Santa Clara... Enjoys napping, singing and working out... Committing to UC Davis is her greatest personal accomplishment... Scoring the winning goal in a home game versus her high school rival, Gilroy, is her most memorable athletics achievement... Chose to attend UC Davis because it was her dream school, she loves everything about it... Her favorite facility that she has competed in is the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.... Would love to visit Paris, France... Competed for the San Jose Fly club team for three years; that team finished third in the "Minnie Division," the second-highest bracket at the Disney Tournament in Orlando, Florida.
