CROSS COUNTRY: Redshirted in 2010.

DAVIS HS [apos]10: Won Delta Valley League championship and placed 3rd at Sac-Joaquin Section meet as a senior, helping Blue Devils capture team banners... Went on to finish 41st at state championship, improving more than 100 places from his 2008 showing... Won Delta Valley Conference 800 and 1,600 titles as a junior... Went on to finish 2nd in 800 (1:57.37) in CIF-SJS finals, 5th (1:55.77) at Masters meet.

PERSONAL: Born in Woodland, Calif.... Has not declared a major... Parents are Ted Coates and Linda Peterson... Career highlight was finishing 3rd in 1,500 at AAU Junior Olympics.
