2014: Competed in two meets -- the season-opening Aggie Open and the Causeway Classic against rival Sacramento State... Ran the 1,500 in both competitions, posting a season-best 5:07.26 at the Causeway.

2013: Redshirted.

CROSS COUNTRY: Ran in WCC Preview and Santa Clara Bronco Invitational during 2014 season... Had 23rd-place finish at season-opening Aggie Open... Also ran at Stanford Invitational and Sant Clara.

PLEASANT HILL HS '12: Ran all four years of cross country... Ran two years of track... In cross country, she held a personal best of 19:52... Raced in the CIF State Cross Country Championships... In Track, she raced the 800, 1600, and 3200... Her personal best in the 800 was 2:31.32... Personal best in the 1600 was 5:37.25... Personal best in the 3200 was 12:23

PERSONAL: Born in Tokyo, Japan... Majoring in chemistry... Daughter of Chiyo and Kazuyoshi Shidara... Her two siblings, Kie and Hide, also attend UC Davis... Kazuyoshi once played professional rugby when he lived in Wakayama... Most people do not know that she danced for six years at the San Francisco Ballet School... She would love to live and work in Japan for a year or two once after she graduates.
