UC Davis Athletics

2021: UC Davis opted out of the 2021 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic... The NCAA Division I Council adopted legislation to extend the eligibility of student-athletes that compete in winter sports; gymnastics student-athletes will received an additional season of eligibility and an extra year to complete it.

2020: Competed on floor in all 10 meets, plus three lineup appearances on bars... Scored between 9.650 and 9.725 for final eight meets, including back-to-back 9.725s at Utah State (Feb. 28) and Sacramento State (Mar. 7)... Hit 9.600 on bars twice, once in first trip to Sac State (Jan. 5) then again in home quad meet (Jan. 24)... Earned WCGA Scholastic All-America and MPSF All-Academic honors.

2019: Made collegiate debut with 9.850 on floor in exhibition with Air Force & Seattle Pacific (Mar. 8), earning a spot in the lineup... Followed with 9.800 in Washington/Illinois/Yale home finale (Mar. 15)... Earned WCGA Scholastic All-America honors.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Graduated with an extensive list of honors from Palos Verdes Peninsula HS: National Honor Society, CSF Lifetime Member, Mu Alpha Theta National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, among others... Began competing at Level 10 for Azarian Gymnastics (Aliso Viejo) in 2016... Three-time Region 1 Championships qualifier, earning alternate spot to Junior Olympic Nationals in 2018... Won team’s Hardest Worker, Most Dedicated and Best Sportsmanship Awards.

PERSONAL: Born in Torrance, California.... Majoring in animal science, with career plans in veterinary medicine... Parents are Mark & Lesley Sklow... Older sister, Kimberly, attends UCLA... Career highlight was having judges at Pikes Peak Cup call her over to compliment her choreography and performance... Part of the reason she chose UC Davis: “John took me to pet the cows on my unofficial visit”... Says few people know her hair used to extend below her knees.
