SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Following a successful opening weekend at the Bruno Classic, The West Coast Conference has announced its weekly awards, with UC Davis men's water polo freshman
Lucas Wulfhorst being awarded the conference's Newcomer of the Week.
Wulfhorst had an impressive debut for the Aggies this past weekend, scoring nine total goals along with four assists for 13 points across four games. He first scored against Iona on Saturday, where he was one of six players to record a hat trick in a 31-11 win, the most goals scored by the team in program history.
Later that day against No. 20 Brown, he turned in his best performance with four goals and an assist for five points, helping the Aggies win the top 20 matchup.
UP NEXT
The Aggies return home for the first time this season to host the annual Aggie Roundup from Sept. 5-6. The two day tournament begins with a matchup against UCLA on Saturday, Sept. 5 at 8:00 am PT.
