LEXINGTON, Ken.  — The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced its list of schools to receive a Team Academic Award, with UC Davis volleyball receiving the honor for just the second time in program history.

The Aggies, who were among the 1,432 programs between high school, two year and four year colleges to receive the award, qualified after maintaining a year-long GPA of at least 3.3 or higher.

The last time the program received the award was in 2019-20, when the team made its first postseason appearance since 1996 at the National Invitational Volleyball Championship.

Aggie Volleyball begins the Mountain West era on Friday, Aug. 28 in a road matchup with Colorado State. First serve is set for 5:00 p.m. PT.
