IRVINE, Calif. – Michelle Ho was named the Big West Freshman of the Year, giving UC Davis women's golf their first honoree of that award since 2017, while Lauren Calderon, Yu "Yoyo" Bai, Elina Kuang and Vani Karimanal joined Ho as members of the All-Big West team giving the Aggies a strong presence amongst the conference's postseason awards.
 
Calderon earned first team honors, while Bai and Kuang were named to the second team. Ho and Karimanal both earned honorable mention to round out the showing. It's the second-straight season the Aggies have had at least five named to the All-Big West team.
 
Ho becomes the first Aggie since Yoonhee Kim won the honor in 2017 and she becomes the sixth Aggie all-time to be named the Big West Freshman of the Year. This is Calderon's third-straight year on the list, having been named to the second team the past two seasons, and for Karimanal it's her second-straight season with an honorable mention.
 
During the season, Ho carried a scoring average of 74.4 and she collected a top 10 finish during her fall collegiate debut at the Leadership and Golf Invitational. Calderon finished top 10 five times during the season and she averaged a score of 73.2 strokes over her senior season.
