MAUI, Hawai'I – UC Davis women's golf kept pace over the final 18 holes, but down the stretch the Aggies would fall just short of bringing home the Big West Championship, finishing second overall for the second-straight season just behind the champions Cal Poly.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE:
- The Aggies finished the tournament with the best score on par fives, shooting -10 with an average of 4.83 over the three rounds of golf
- UC Davis posted the second-most birdies, hitting 39 over the tournament finishing just behind Cal Poly
- Three Aggies tied for fifth, with Lauren Calderon, Vani Karimanal and Elina Kuang all finishing even for the tournament to give UC Davis a tournament-best three inside the top five
- The three-top five finishes gives the Aggies three on the All-Tournament team, a third-straight season at least one Aggie has been named to the All-Tournament team
- Calderon gave the Aggies their best round of the day, shooting 70 (-2) to scoot up four spots in the leaderboard
- The Aggie senior used a tournament-high 40 pars to maintain her spot inside the top five
- Karimanal tied for the best score on par fives, shooting -5 with an average of 4.58 over 54 holes
- Yu "Yoyo" Bai scored +8 for the tournament and came in 23rd overall, giving UC Davis four inside the top 25, while Michelle Ho finished 38th overall (+16)
