The UC Davis track and field team continued its high-velocity weekend on Friday, April 3, delivering standout performances at the Texas Relays, concluding multi-event action at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, and opening distance heats at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN)

The Aggie men were led by
Jake Joerger on the national stage at the Texas Relays. Joerger secured a top-ten finish in a deep Shot Put field, taking seventh place with a mark of 15.99m. He also added an 11th-place finish in the Discus with a toss of 49.17m. In Berkeley,
Justin Reichenberg completed the final five events of the Decathlon to finish 11th overall with 6,071 points. Reichenberg's second day was highlighted by a third-place finish in the Discus (37.11m) and a fourth-place finish in the 110m Hurdles (15.72).

In distance action at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, Frank Ramisch paced the 1500m squad, finishing 28th overall in 3:52.23. Tanner Gray led the way in the 3000m Steeplechase, also securing a 28th-place finish with a time of 9:52.74, while Nick Hermann broke the 15-minute barrier in the 5000m (14:57.37).

The Aggie women saw several standout performances in the sand pits in Austin.
Kylee Davis earned a fifth-place finish in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.87m, while
Kadidja Sangare followed closely in ninth place at 5.84m. Sangare also excelled on the track, clocking a 13.73 in the 100m Hurdles prelims.
Maya Ifo-Desai added to the top finishes in the field, taking 12th in the Shot Put with a mark of 13.19m.

At the Brutus Hamilton Multis,
Emma San completed her Heptathlon with a strong eighth-place overall finish, totaling 4,214 points. Her Friday was highlighted by an eighth-place finish in the Long Jump (5.17m). In San Francisco,
Kiah Aitken led the 3000m Steeplechase group with a 21st-place finish (11:05.64), while
Gracie Trenam turned in a 4:36.66 in the 1500m to lead the Aggie middle-distance contingent.
