Yu “Yoyo” Bai Enters Clubhouse Tied For Second At Silicon Valley Showcase

MILLBRAE, Calif. – 
Yu "Yoyo" Bai used a second round 69 (-2) to fly up the leaderboard pacing UC Davis women's golf by entering the clubhouse tied for second at the Silicon Valley Showcase helping the Aggies place fourth overall heading into the final day.
 
IN THE CLUBHOUSE:
  • UC Davis finished ahead of UC Irvine, San Deigo State, Washington State and future Mountain West counterpart Wyoming
  • The Aggies tied for first with the most pars recorded on the day (109) and they recorded the second-most birdies (33) among the 10-program competing
  • Bai posted 25 pars, the second-most over the first two rounds and she shot seven birdies in the 36 holes played
  • In her second round, Bai birdied holes 11, 12, 16, two and she wrapped up her round with a birdie on six to cap off a great round that put her in position for a top finish
  • Lauren Calderon shot a 72 second round, improving by two strokes from her first round to put herself inside the top 20 tied for 17th at +4
  • Michelle Ho rounds out three Aggies in the top 20, after shooting +5 over the opening rounds to sit tied for 20th overall
