DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis women's golf moved up two spots on the leaderboard, climbing to fourth overall to finish inside the top five among a heavily competitive Juli Inkster Invitational at TPC Harding Park.
IN THE CLUBHOUSE:
- UC Davis finished better than the Big 10's Washington, the Atlantic Coast Conference's Boston College and Mountain West programs UNLV, Boise State, Nevada and Fresno State
- The Aggies also bested Sacramento State and fellow Big West program Cal Poly
- On the day, UC Davis shot the third lowest round among the 14 teams playing through the final 18 holes
- Lauren Calderon gave the Aggies their best finish individually, posting an eight-place finish overall shooting +4 for the tournament over the three rounds
- Both Michelle Ho and Vani Karimanal raced up the leaderboards on the final day, with Ho moving up 22 spots and Karimanal keeping pace with a 19-spot improvement
- Ho shot +1 and Karimanal shot +2 in the final round to propel their movements to a tie at 17th overall
- Yu "Yoyo" Bai stayed inside the top 25, finishing 24th overall with a +9 for the tournament
