IRVING, Texas — Five goals and ten points across three games last week gave UC Davis lacrosse freshman
Ava Horrocks the Freshman of the Week award in the Big 12 for Week 3 of the lacrosse season on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
This award is Horrocks' first of her career.
Following two points against Cornell last Tuesday, Horrocks was instrumental in a back-and-forth battle with USC on Friday, assisting on four goals. Her four point performance marked a career-high for the attacker.
Three days later, at Cal, she matched that career-high with four goals against the Golden Bears. This mark was the second hat trick of her young career while also being a new career-best in goals. She also led all scorers in a 13-12 Aggie win.
