DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis women's golf sits second overall at the Causeway Invitational after a strong second round with the Aggies being paced by junior
Vani Karimanal who sits tied for first thanks to back-to-back rounds of two under par.

IN THE CLUBHOUSE:
- The Aggies sit just behind No. 47 Colorado (-3) carrying an even score into the clubhouse after a -2 second round moved UC Davis up the leader boards
- Karimanal birdied four holes in her first round, going back-to-back on holes six and seven, while adding under par shots at 12 and 16, leading to a -2 (70) opening round
- During the second round, Karimanal scored three birdies, once again reaching the hole in three shots on six while also getting birdies on holes 15 and one to add another -2 round to her overall tournament putting her tied with San Francisco's Eva Pett for first place at -4
- Elina Kuang shot a strong second round, going -1 after nailing a birdie near the end of her round on the second hole, having teed off at four
- Yu "Yoyo" Bai sits tied for 12 after a consistent day where she shot even par in the second round and is +1 to give UC Davis a pair of Aggies inside the top 15
- Lauren Calderon recorded six birdies across her two rounds, and it helped power her to a +2, placing her 16th overall after the opening 36 holes
