DAVIS, Calif. — For the second time this season, UC Davis women's basketball's Megan Norris has been awarded the Big West Player of the Week award.

This recognition comes after back-to-back 20+ point performances on the road last weekend. Against UC San Diego on Thursday, Norris led the way with 23 points along with three blocks and three steals as she helped her team mount a comeback over the Tritons and hand them their first conference loss of the season.

Two days later in Riverside, she led the way once again with 21 points, achieving the mark on 8-of-10 (.800) shooting while also dropping three triples from beyond the arc.

In addition to her scoring prowess, Norris also led the Aggies in rebounding over the weekend, grabbing 16 boards on Thursday and 12 on Saturday. These performances led her to her 12th and 13th double-doubles of the season, putting her tied for second in the nation in that category. Her 11.8 rebounds per game also puts her fifth in the NCAA.

After a two-week road trip, the Aggies return home next week for a pair of Big West matchups. The team begins its homestand on Thursday, Jan. 29, against CSUN at 6:00 p.m. PT before wrapping up on Saturday, Jan. 31, against Cal State Bakersfield at 2:00 p.m. PT. Both games will be streaming live on ESPN+ and KDVS 90.3.
