DAVIS, Calif. — Following a record-breaking 2025 season, UC Davis volleyball head coach Dan Conners has announced the promotion of assistant coach Danielle (Dee) Davis as associate head coach ahead of the program's move to the Mountain West Conference in 2026.

"Dee has been a game changer for UC Davis Volleyball." Said Coach Conners. "She has the ability to serve the program, staff, and student-athletes at an elite level, and I am excited that we can recognize her for that effort and ability.  I have the utmost trust and confidence in Dee, her leadership, and dedication to making this program the best it can be."

Joining the program ahead of the 2024 season, Davis served as Conner's top assistant through the most successful two-year stretch for the Aggies in program history, winning a record 13 conference games in 2024 before elevating even further in 2025 with 16 conference wins and the program's first-ever Big West title.

In addition to her coaching duties, Davis also serves as mental performance coach for the Aggies, with many players on the team crediting her blend of physical and mental training for the team's success over the past two seasons.

"This role feels like a beautiful continuation of the work I've been doing, supporting athletes as whole humans while building a strong, connected program together." Says Davis. "I'm so grateful for the trust from our staff and administration and am excited to keep growing alongside this team."
