DAVIS, Calif. — Coming off back-to-back sweeps of Cal State Bakersfield and CSUN, UC Davis volleyball sees senior Jade Light become the Big West Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her Aggie career.

In a three-set win at Bakersfield on Friday, Light led the way on the offensive end with 14 kills, also posting seven digs and four total blocks.

Against CSUN the next day, her great play continued after nearly posting her sixth double-double of the year with 13 kills and nine digs. Among Big West attackers, Light ranks at the top of the conference with 4.12 kills per set. With 975 career kills, she is now 25 kills from becoming the 13th player in program history to post 1,000 kills.

These performances helped lead UC Davis to its ninth consecutive victory, tying the season-long win streak last season, and helped them remain the only undefeated squad in the Big West Conference.
