HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- After seeing the Matadors take the first point, a kill from Ally Chandler kicked off the offense for the Aggies, kicking off an 8-1 scoring run.
- Kills from the likes of Light, Allie Caldwell, and Brooke Hibino paced UC Davis down the stretch of the first set, with a double block from Czapinski and Chandler capping off a 25-7 set one win for their team.
- The Matadors started the second set playing with a lead, holding a 7-5 advantage early.
- But a kill from Starr sparked a 6-1 Aggie run, elevating Davis to a 17-13 lead.
- CSUN refused to back down, getting as close as two, but eight of the last nine points belonged to UC Davis, with a service ace from Cordero Barr highlighting a 25-16 set win that gave the Aggies a 2-0 lead.
- This offensive momentum continued into set three, with Davis getting the first five points of the frame.
- As Northridge got on the ball, they looked to get back into it, matching each Aggie point to get within four.
- But the Ags pulled away again, with a kill from Light icing the set 25-16 to secure a sweep for her team.
