The Short Story: Crucial team effort and performances from underclassmen Fiona McGrath and Nick Herrmann helped bring the Aggies to second place out of nine competing schools.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN): Sophomore Nick Herrmann led the Aggie men, placing eighth in the 8k race with a time of 25:24.0, followed by senior Michael Cooper and his time of 25:37.9 that placed him 11th in the meet. Junior Chance Tokubo and sophomore Donovan Cheruiyot capped off the top 25 racers in the 8k race. The cumulative performance of the men's team placed them second overall in the meet.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN):  Freshman Fiona McGrath led the Aggie women with an astounding fourth place finish, recording a new personal record in the 6k race with her time of 21:37.5. Junior Kayla Rutz finished sixth with a time of 21:50.4, and freshman Grace Dunham finished ninth with her time of 22:17.4 to make three Aggies end up in the top ten spots.
 
UP NEXT: The Aggies will travel to Chicago, Illinois to compete in the Lakefront Invitational hosted by Loyola University Chicago on October 4th.
