DAVIS, Calif. – The polls are in: Junior Ethan Brooks has earned the title of Big West Men's Athlete of the Week after his stellar performance at the Stump Invitational.
 
Brooks placed first out of 66 competitors at this past weekend's 8k race at the Stump Invitational, posting a winning time and new personal record of 24:15.2. This time gave a 36.6 second gap between himself and the second-place runner.
 
His season has been an all-around success thus far, also clinching third place out of 126 competitors at the USF Invitational with a time of 24:18.7.
 
"Ethan absolutely deserves this honor for not only his race this past weekend but also for the week in, week out effort he pours into this sport" Head Coach Emma Petersen applauds. "He is incredibly dedicated and is always giving 100% in practices and on race days."  
 
This is Brooks' first career weekly accolade.
