DAVIS, Calif. – With just over two months before 2024-25 tips off, UC Davis women's basketball head coach
Jennifer Gross has rounded out her staff with the addition of seasoned professional
Dejza James as Assistant Coach/Video Coordinator.
"Dejza brings a tremendous amount of basketball experience to our program having played professionally for the past seven years," said Gross. "She is from the Sacramento area and has great ties to the community."
"I can't express my gratitude enough to coach Jen and the staff for the opportunity to join such a special program," said James. "The ability to impact our student-athletes on and off the court so close to home is truly a blessing."
James, who graduated in 2017 after playing four years at Arizona, spent over seven years playing professionally across eight different countries. Most recently she was with Lulea Basket in Sweden, but she has played in Mexico; Italy; Luxembourg; Greece; Hungary; Turkey and Portugal.
"I really love the amazing energy that Dejza brings every day, enthusiasm is one of our program's core values and Dejza embodies that," added Gross. "We are very excited to help her learn and grow as a coach and look forward to everything she will bring to our Aggie family."
