Women's Team Finish: Second Overall
Men's Team Finish: Fourth Overall

The short story: A quick trip to the bay for UC Davis cross country led to the Aggie women taking second and the Aggie men finishing fourth overall at the USF Invitational.
HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN): Junior
Ethan Brooks led the pack in the first leg of the 8k, clocking in first out of 126 competitors with a time of 5:55.3 for the first quarter of his performance. Resilient, Brooks stayed ahead and finished third overall with a time of 24:18.7.

Muhammed Ahmed along with freshman
Hayden Brooks, all found place among the top 25 as well. The men finished with a final score of 87, beating out Stanford by 33 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED (WOMEN): Starting off her senior season with success, Maddie Kackley placed sixth overall with a time of 20:58.8 in the 6k race. Sophomore
Brooke Butler, who placed 23rd, walked away with a personal best time of 22:10.2.

Lauren Villegas and
Kirra Fisk also nestled into the top 25, helping towards a total team score of 66, second only to Stanford and leaving a 51-point gap between the Aggies and Sacramento State, who settled for third overall.
UP NEXT: Looking forward, the Aggies will be at home for their next meet on September 14th for the Stump Invitational, hosted on the recently restored Putah Creek Reserve.
