DAVIS, Calif. – Three
Aggies have advanced to the NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships first round
held in Fayetteville, Ark. after achieving qualifying marks during the 2024 season.
Brianna Weidler (5000m),
Dani Barrett (10000m), and
Madison Kackley (1500m) will represent UC Davis when the trio competes in the west first round.

The field is comprised of the top 48 individual marks and top 24 relay times in the West Region. Qualifiers that finish in the top 12 in each event at the West Regional, along with the top 12 from the East Regional, will advance to the NCAA Championships at the University of Oregon on June 5-8.

Kackley will head to the west regional for the first time in her career after posting a second-place finish in the 1,500m at the Big West Championships. She came out victorious in the mile at the MPSF Indoor Championships and rode that momentum into the indoor season, racking up four top-five finishes to close the season. She also reached the podium in the 5000m, completing UC Davis' 1-2-3 finish with fellow Aggies - Barrett and Weidler – at the conference meet.

Barrett will make her first appearance at the west regional after racing to the top spot in the 10,000m at the Big West Championships, securing her first conference title. During the indoor season, Barrett won the 5000m at the UW Invitational and grabbed second place in the event at the Big West Championships.

After claiming the triple crown in the conference championships a season ago, Weidler advances to the regional round for the second consecutive year in the 5,000m. She is coming off her fantastic performance at the Big West Championships where she defended her title in the event, taking gold back-to-back seasons. At the Stanford Invitational, the Temecula native shattered the school and conference record with her time of 15:38.45. Weidler hopes to reach the national meet for the second time after placing 21
st overall in her previous campaign.
